Background:
Elisha is a partner mostly engaged in Corporate & Commercial Litigation, Public Interest Litigation, Employment & Constitutional practice areas.

Before joining Marlin Advocates, Elisha worked as Principal State Attorney in Attorney General’s Chambers in the Directorate of Civil Litigation. He joined the Attorney General’s Chambers in October 2005 as a State Attorney and he rose in ranks to Senior State Attorney in 2010 and to Principal State Attorney in 2016.

At the Attorney General’s Chambers, Elisha handled a wide range of court cases for and against the Government of Uganda and registered tremendous victories from High Court, Court of Appeal, Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and the East African Court of Justice. Notably, Elisha won all the cases in which he represented the Government of Uganda at the East African Court of Justice. Before the Courts of Judicature of Uganda, he saved the taxpayer hundreds of billions in court claims in commercial transactions, presidential petitions, land and environmental disputes, constitutional petitions, pension.

He is a lecturer at Law Development Centre (Bar-Course) in the areas of Civil Litigation & Practices and Land Transactions. He is also a lecturer at the Islamic University In Uganda (IUIU)-Kabojja and Kibuli campuses.
